Magical Winter Elopement in the German Alps at Lake Eibsee, Garmisch. Winter wedding in pastel colours

The snow-capped mountains, crystal-clear lake, and the array of colors that nature provides in winter make Lake Eibsee one of the most scenic places to hold a wedding in Bavaria. However, it’s not just the natural beauty that makes this lake such a special place for a wedding; there are many ways you can customize your event to ensure that it is as close to perfect as possible.

Marrying under the sky above Lake Eibsee will leave you both with memories that will last a lifetime.

Lake Eibsee is located in Bavaria, Germany, and it's known for its stunning natural beauty—a perfect backdrop for a winter elopement. So how did we help Australian couple David and Leah tie the knot at Lake Eibsee? We've got all the details!

1. Choosing the location: Lake Eibsee was perfect because of its scenic beauty and close proximity to Munich. It's also very easy to get to Australia, as long as you're willing to make a stopover in London or Frankfurt first.

2. Booking the hotel: Garmisch has a lot of offers when it comes to nice hotels, but make sure to book them in advance, as it is a ski resort and it can be hard to find a room last minute.

3. Deciding on vendors: Location, Flowers, Hair, Make-up, etc. Those are just a few of the things you must consider when you are eloping. For that, I am your girl. As I work with a lot of artists from the industry, I am always ready to help you choose the perfect team for you and your needs.

For this particular wedding, the couple kept it simple and they only hired me and a talented florist: Werkraum Nittenau, and make-up artist: Patricia Grell

The Bavarian Alps are famous for their stunning natural beauty. If you're planning a winter wedding photo shoot, you might want to consider exchanging vows in front of the Zugspitze mountain, which is one of the most photographed mountains in Germany.

The Zugspitze peak is over 9,000 feet tall and stands at the heart of Germany's largest winter sports region. It's just a short drive from Munich Airport and you'll find plenty of cozy hotels where you can rest after your adventure wedding photo shoot.

This region is also known as Garmisch Paternkirchen, which means "Garmisch-Partenkirchen." The area has been attracting tourists since 1864 when it hosted the first Winter Olympics Games. You can even enjoy some skiing or snowboarding right near your hotel!

If you are interested in eloping like Georgia & Daniel, my beautiful Aussie couple who flew all the way from Tasmania to tie the knot in this incredible place, let me know and we can plan something incredible for you!
